WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -
Registration for the 2008 Mike Petersen basketball camps are in full swing, with the first camps set to kick-off on June 7 at Wake's state-of-the-art Miller Center facilities.
There are four programs scheduled to take place in June and July. June 7-8 is the Shooting School, which specifically targets improving shooting skills. The school is open to rising third through 12th graders and runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
There are two day camp sessions, the first runs from June 16-19 and the second June 30-July 3. The camps stress fundamental and advanced basketball skills for both the beginner and the experienced player.
From June 29-30, the WFU coaching staff will offer Team Camp, which allows teams to battle other squads while receiving instruction from counselors. All games will be officiated by certified high school referees.
