Field Hockey Adds Two to All-America squad

Nov. 21, 2007

A pair of Wake Forest University field hockey players have earned All-America honors from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association.

Michelle Kasold, a junior midfielder, was named to the first team. Aileen Davis, a sophomore midfielder, was named to the third team.

Kasold (Chapel Hill, NC/East Chapel Hill) was Wake Forest's leading scorer with 30 points on nine goals and 12 assists. She also tallied a pair of game-winning goals during the Deacons' run to the NCAA semifinals.

Davis (Edinburgh, Scotland) had three goals and four assists to total 10 points on the season. She also scored the game-winning goal in the national quarterfinals that pushed the Deacons past Michigan and into the final four.

Both Kasold and Davis were first team all-region picks earlier this fall.
